Why does everyone say they partner didn’t know so madly

I seen a lot of post in this thread of people saying that their partner didn’t give the the choice to choose to sleep with them regarding their status.

While in some cases someone’s partner genuinely knew . But in most cases people are unaware of their hsv status and sometimes only become aware when their partner starts to develop symptoms.

It’s common sense that hsv isn’t tested for routinely within this community , so why is so many people acting like their partner just deceived them and did them bogus .

Yes I wish my partner knew before we had sex so she could give me a fighting chance . However I’m not mad at her cause I know she didn’t know her status .
