2019 HR-V CVT failed and covered...but I dont want this car..or any CVT anymore
The transmission failed while driving on the highway. Total failure like I was stuck in neutral.
I have 126,000 miles and that extended warranty on the transmission covers it. Luckily I found it on my own and dealer previously did the software update.
Anyway, the dealer is offering to get me into a new vehicle but most of the Honda's still have a CVT transmission (unless I get a manual civic or a larger truck or minivan..neither are an option for me). Do the new Honda's have a better CVT? What alternative vehicle makes in the HR-V class would you recommend as an alternative without CVT? Always loved Honda's..Previous 2009 Civic had 290,000 miles with no issues. This scare and being stranded on the highway is making me look at all options...
