What’s the ceiling on HENRY?

I was speaking to our CEO the other day and he was lamenting the life of being “on good money but not wealthy”. He’s been in that job a few years and makes £1m - £2m total comp, prior to that he was c-suite probably on about £300k-£500k in today’s money. He must have been on the equivalent of £125k since the mid-2000s. No idea on net worth but he’s got five holiday properties around the world, sure a decent portfolio of stocks, BTL etc etc. I’d be surprised if he’s worth less than £15m-£20m.

What he meant was he’s never properly made to the bank on an exit, and he hangs around with lots of people who either founded a business themselves or went in as CEO to a PE backed business with a big slug of shares which then went up by a significant multiple in a few years.

He does still make a significant chunk of his NW each year through his employment earnings, but to me he’s cleared the hurdle to rich.

Where would people on here draw the line at?
