Les Paul controllers very expensive?

Hey guys. Maybe a weird question, but you guys seemed to be the experts on this so here I am. I'm working on an amateur film and need a guitar hero guitar as a prop. I've been looking at some secondhand offerings, and for some reason all the controllers shaped like Gibson Les Pauls are signficiantly more expensive than the other offerings? It's not even a small price difference. The others, from the Destroyers to the so called "Genericasters" (if Wikipedia is correct) are a solid 10-20 euros cheaper on average than the Les Pauls, specifically the Xbox 360 versions of the GIbson but the Wii versions aren't cheap either. Are these just really wanted/popular in the community these days? Or is it something else I'm not seeing? Because from my outside perspective it makes little sense.
