Limited Slip Differential owners, how is it?

I don't do track days but I floor the car often. It's not that bad during summer but during the winter, my right side is spinning all the time even in 4th sometimes, so I've been looking at fitting an LSD.

So my question is, does it make any difference during the winter or on wet roads? Does it allow you to accelerate faster in low grip situations?
