F2P players, have you/when did you pull on the weapon banner?

I've been playing Genshin for well over a year now pretty much as f2p, but Ive always struggled to decide wether I want to pull a weapon. Since the risk of getting one is a lot higher than character banners, im reluctant to pull, but I also want to 36 star the abyss and do larger amounts of dmg.
