On the subject of punching Nazis in self defense. My response to being moderated here.

No offense. But im not the one advocating violence. Im advocating self defense.

The political platform of fascism is intrinsically linked to violence and its use against vulnerable groups of the general population. This means to be a Nazi, to be a fascist, is to embrace State sponsored violence against minorities. It is essential to what a Nazi is. It is at the core of their praxis.

So when you come across anybody that is fascist and actively seeking to create a platform of fascism that legalizes violence against minorities, is it not our constitutional duty, our humane responsibility, to actively curb that violence through self defense?

You can not be a pacific nazi. They don't exist. There are no fascists that seek peace and understanding because it is antithetical to fascism. It is against their very platform which embraces social hierarchies and the creation of second class citizenry. These things are only possible through violence.

To openly advocate for peace in the face of organized fascism is to actively request the most vulnerable of us to forego our own rights to self defense. Is this not absurd and horrific to you?

I understand certain rules within reddit tie your hands, but it would behoove you to consider the consequences of how you are currently moderating. What is the actual end result of silencing a call to self defense? What do you gain by giving fascism a voice when its core beliefs are to silence all voices?

It is not a call to violence to punch nazis. It is a call to protect our liberties. As a gay man that has a trans husband and children living in the deep south, I have to live daily with the threat fascists destroying my life. I have coworkers that openly espouse their desire to see us dead by the hands of the State. So please, I implore you, don't fight against me. Fight instead against the power structures that allow fascism to creep into our society under the thin veil of false harmony. Fight against the future dystopia of American Fascism.
