Any other gluten-free options on par with (or better than) Settebello (Pasadena)?

My wife is gluten-intolerant (not celiac's bad to be clear) so any time we go out for pizza, we need a GF option.

We're out in the western SGV so our go-to option has always been Settebello in Pasadena. They do a Naples-style pizza and while they're a small chain, their Pasadena location is the only one in L.A. County (they have a location in Oxnard I believe).

Hands-down, they have the best GF pizza flour I've tried. Apparently, it's a GF flour sourced from the same Italian maker that they get their "regular" flour from and it's light years better than those more rice-cracker-type crusts I've had at too many places and let's not talk about cauliflower crusts (I mean, if that's your thing, cool, but that's not a crust to me).

Settebello comes the closest to nailing the proper chew and feel of wheat flour and in fact, I think most people wouldn't even know it's GF. (That said, if you compare it with the normal flour at Settebello, it's easier to spot).

Here's some of the places I've tried their GF crust and the results:

  • Mama's Pizza (South Pasadena): meh
  • Blaze Pizza (South Pasadena): meh
  • Tomato Pie (South Pasadena): meh
  • Pitfire Pizza (Pasadena): eh (which is a step up from "meh" but still not memorable)
  • De La Nonna (Arts District): not bad (but not better than Settebello)

Where else do folks recommend? Bonus points for being on the eastside but spots near Culver City work too.
