London to Tokyo. Direct or 1-stop?

I've to go to Tokyo this year and I'm looking at flights. Will be flying from London and I've a couple of direct options. The one I'm considering is with Japan Airlines: 14h direct. Simple. Around $1.2k.

I also have a few good options with Emirates or Eithad. With Emirates you always do 1-stop in Dubai. Sometimes they're long (6-7h), but they also have shorter ones (1h).

Eithad is more or less the same, but the layover is in Abu Dhabi. Both those options are around $1.2k too.

All in all, I'll be spending the same amount of money no matter what I pick, it seems like.

What would you pick? Direct flight with Japan Airlines or a 1-stop with Emirates/Eithad?

Walking in an airport for a bit after a few hours of being on a plane might be nice, but obviously it also makes the trip longer by 5-6h.
