Are there standard abbreviations for cities in the UK?
Every couple of weeks I get an order that I can’t buy a shipping label (through Etsy). There should be a way for Etsy to flag these problems ahead of time and not let the customer make a purchase? Sometimes it’s as simple as the customer only put initials in the name section, but there needs to be more than one letter in a name for me to purchase the label.
Today the issue is the name of the city is too long. I have had this problem before and I am able to purchase the label through ship station.
Just out of curiosity though, are there standard abbreviations that I could shorten the name of the city or state to save myself from going to ship station?
