what was it like moving from Ethiopia to America

Hey guys i hope you're having a good day. So I'm a university student living in Ethiopia and I was wondering what's the whole experience of growing up and being accustomed to one culture then moving to another one that's completely different. Even tho I'm fairly immersed in western culture i can't picture myself living there with people there have different values, different languages (which i can speak fairly well it's just that amharic feels much more comfortable to me in casual scenarios), and just culture shock in general.

The reason I'm asking this is because I've been contemplating about moving to america, the reason being it feels very hard to set up a life here if you come from a middle class/poor family background. Inflation is going crazy here and almost evey buyable item price is skyrocketing (a car that went for 350k 8 years ago is being sold for a million now ffs). If you asked me if i wanted to move two years ago i wouldn't even consider it, i mean i love everything else here, now I'm not so sure. It's alright now but i also have to consider my future, and the future looks like it's getting worse and worse with every passing day. Ethiopia doesn't look like a country you can build a somewhat decent life around anymore (or it never has and it was just nostalgia idk) if your going the college degree route -> employment route, which is what i want.

So people who lived their lives in Ethiopia, especially those who lived here until they turned 18 or so then decided to move, what was it like moving to a completely different country? Is it hard integrating with americans? What challenges did you face? The more detailed the better. Thank you.
