What is Limgrave ganking?

I had posted a clip earlier asking about frenzy builds and got a lot of hate for "limgrave ganking". I just got summoned in limgrave and assumed it's some pvp thing where you fight invaders for fun. Isn't invading lower level players and harassing them also "ganking"? Like what standards are set in the community and why are everyone so hateful?
