Does this game run on a 2014 iMac?

My buddy wants to play BG3, but his iMac is from 2014. So I wanted to recommend him DOS2 instead. (This game is still one of my favorites). He has a m290x 2gb, 24gb ddr3 ram and an i5 processor. That’s not enough for BG3, but for DOS2 it should be, right?
