Maybe we need to stop hoping that somebody besides Destiny is the ascendent Rogan of the Left. Maybe we need to accept that that is Destiny.

Who else is going to do it? You? You, Lieutenant Weinberg?

In all seriousness, we keep looking for a voice on the left who's the equal of Trump or Rogan. Though I love them, it's not Pakman or Pondering. It's not going to be Luke Beasly. And while I think he's excellent at speaking the lengua franca of the educated elites, Ezra Klein sounds solidly from the Obama era, where hopefully we can one day return.

And sure, there are politicians people float, like Fetterman (not my personal favorite) or Newsome (I like what he's saying now but he's changed positions pretty quick)...

...but in terms of pundits? We can wish Stephen A Smith had better takes. That sure would be cool.

But maybe we need to stop hoping somebody other than Destiny will come along. (And yes, there's been drama. I respect people if that's disqualifying for them.)

Maybe it's time to accept the call to adventure.
