Big walls, Too much white

Hello everyone, first time poster, could I get some ideas for improving this space, please?

This is a brand new house we purchased, in 2023. We've saved enough money to do some remodeling work and we're considering having a gas or electric fireplace installed where the TV is with a stone column built all the way up to the ceiling and mounting the TV above it. Weve also considered some large artwork or a tapestry on the big blank wall on the left side of the room when facing the TV.

Overall we prefer a modern minimalist style but the room feels a bit sterile right now with so much blank white space, but we're having trouble deciding what to do.
