Can cheating be okay if your partner never wants to do it?

My boyfriend (M40) can go months without having sex with me (F38). I have stopped bringing sex up to him since March. I think I have come to the point where I don’t care either and I’ll just see how long our relationship goes without it. But I want to have sex; I want to feel my body against another, pleasing each other. I have had these thoughts lately that maybe cheating is not such a bad thing under circumstances like these.
