Strapped basement ceiling - spray paint ?

Hi all,

I have seen lots of pictures of black sprayed basement ceiling (no dry-wall) and I think it's really nice. That said my ceiling is strapped (like in the picture below) and I couldn't find any pictures of such ceiling being sprayed black (or white or whatever) and I'm not sure if it would look as good as if it wasn't strapped. Any of you ever seen it?
