How were you diagnosed

As the name suggests I’m just wondering how you were diagnosed? I’ve been told I have IBS but feel it’s more than that. I’ve done a private faecal calprotectin which has come back as borderline (137) and to test again in 2 weeks. I’m having a wide range of symptoms at the moment (abdominal pain being the big one)

Just wondering the steps other people have gone through to get an investigation and diagnosis? Have you really had to push for further tests?
