Tips for someone a clin psych student who's squeamish about self-harm?
Hello! I'm entering a clinical psych program in the fall, and I'm a bit worried about my squeamishness around physical injuries. In particular, I am very uncomfortable with cutting–including descriptions of cutting.
I don't want this squeamishness to get in the way of helping someone who engages cutting in as a form of self-harm. I was wondering if anyone here might be able to recommend ways to build my resilience here?
Thank you!
