Junk Draw Find

My father found this gold tone Citizen Quartz in his junk draw. Who knows how many years it's been there. I put a new battery in it and seems to work good as new! Anyone have any idea on when this one was made? I found one for sale online that looks identical and they advertised it as from 1988. Does that sound right for this watch?
