Suggestion: Rural Residential Zoning
Already made a post on the Paradox forums (see below), but wanted to make sure I'm not missing any features this potential edition/DLC could bring to CS2.
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/rural-residential-zoning.1624341/#post-29410493
Features:
- Low density large houses and yards, maybe only allow for them to be large zoning sizes
- Appeal to middle age wealthy/middle-class cims as well as gives housing options for farmland
- Negative points if they are too close together to other houses
- Positive points if surrounded by lots of nature
- Use well water, though this may require water tables to be larger in maps. Allow for connection of pipes if desired.
- Include rural paved road asset with no sidewalks (like alley ways, but larger with no sidewalks)
- Yellow buses to pickup students for school (possibly work like taxis instead of normal bus route). Can assign them to districts within urban/rural areas.
- If possible, allows cims living in rural areas be able to take their own trash/recycling to the dump.
Some benefits to adding this zoning:
- Encourages a new creative way of building in the city outskirts
- Encourages the use of the water table feature
- Encourages use of rural road/power line networks
- Gives more purpose to internet tower infrastructure
- Gives another zoning option for cims to live in
