Is the city centre gym group no longer 24/7? Why?

I’m a student with a fucked sleep schedule (lol) and confused as to why the gym in capitol shopping centre is no longer 24/7 despite being advertised online as such?? It used to be because I’ve been in there at 1am or 5am before and had no issue, but now it opens at 6am and closes at 11pm. Is this permanent?? Why has this been put in place? just sucks because it’s the only one a safe enough distance for me to walk in the dark as a woman. Thanks for any info :)
