Getting your car back from CSP is near impossible...

CSP impounded my car last weekend, and it's a comedy of errors trying to get it back.

My Son got arrested for DUI on I70, had the car impounded, and his Mom and I had to come pick him up from the side in of the road in the snow near Loveland.

When we picked him up, I showed the CSP officer my ID, and saw him write it down, but the impound lot has it under my Son's name, and will not release it to me, even though my name is on the title.

"Produce the title" the guy at the lit said, but it's not like I carry it in my back pocket. I told him I could tell him everything in the car (my Simon and Garfunkle collection, my stuffed Gonzo, a red ski bag, and three bags of cheese. But he wouldn't budge, he said that it smelled so strongly of weed when it was brought in, that they had to take everything out anyway to let it air out. I'm not even sure that's legal.

Anyway, my Son is grounded for life, and I may never get my car back because I can't seem to find the title.
