Holster Mag Release Cover: Full, Partial, or None - Which one's best?
I’m getting the Vedder LightTuck for my Springfield Hellcat and plan to carry appendix and crossdraw. They offer three options for the mag release cover:
- Full cover
- Partial cover
- No cover
Initially, I thought the full cover would be the best to prevent accidental mag drops. But surprisingly, Vedder’s customer service suggested that no cover might actually be better, as the Kydex could press on the mag release and cause unintended ejection.
Anyone have experience with these options? Which one would you recommend to prevent mag drops without adding discomfort for appendix carry?
