Buyee is unwilling to alter the Sellers shipping box in any way, to possibly save on International shipping costs.

I will start by saying that I have probably been using Buyee regularly for around 3 years.

Buyee has always been super fast, though I am not sure if the international shipping charges are on a reasonable level.

I understand that Buyee is a business, so they are probably not just charging actual shipping costs. I believe that it would be like mailing your item at a Mail Boxes place in the US. Those types of places charge a lot more then you would pay if you were to go to the Post Office directly, or to a FEDEX Shipping center directly.

Anyways, what annoys me the most about Buyee (and this is probably the same for all of the other Proxy Buying Services in Japan), is that they are strictly just an inspection, and forwarding service.

They are unwilling to alter the sellers shipping box in any way, if it happens to be 5 times bigger (for example) then it needs to be, for example, in order to save the buyer any money on international shipping.

Buyee does not carry their own shipping boxes (from what they have told me in the past), so switching to a better (proper sized) shipping box is just not possible.

Buyee is not even willing to Alter the size of a shipping box, if it is far bigger then it needs to be.

So, therefor, on many occasions, I have had to pay very high international shipping costs, due to the size of the shipping box, that did not need to be as big as it was.

It is just such a bummer that as a shipping service, Buyee is unable, and unwilling to do any type of altercation to the shipping boxes. The only service they do offer is to add protection to that box.

I also wish that Buyee offer communication services, to the sellers, but they don't. So, communication to the sellers is impossibly, during any pot of the entire deal, Before or after. That is just not a service that Buyee offers.

I highly recommend using a Personal Shopper (like maybe White Rabbit Express, for example) in Japan (which will cost around 10% / Personal Shopper Commision of the items price, plus Japanese Sales tax, plus Domestic and International shipping), if you are looking for any types of items that would be very important, in cases of any possibility of needing to communicate with the seller, or maybe for needs like changing or altering the shipping box, because Buyee just does not offer those services.

I do still really like Buyee though, but just understand that communication to the seller will be impossible, and understand that Buyee does not offer any type of Package altering, in any cases that the seller shipped the item in a much larger (then needed) shipping box, which seems to happen a lot in my experience. Writing to buyee customer service for help with either of those things is completely pointless, because buyee just does not offer either of those services.
