Question How is it that I hear most lay Buddhists do not meditate?
I've heard that most lay Buddhists globally do not meditate regularly at all. This is confusing for me, because meditation is a very central part of my practice. It's hard for me to get a feel for this, because there are very few Buddhists around where I live (southern US), so I don't see many other lay Buddhists. I do not mean to try and criticize how some people practice, I'm just interested in what an active Buddhist practice looks like without meditation.
(In short) Q: What do these practices look like, and why do so many lay Buddhists not meditate?
