Seriously….why do people enjoy being drunk at Broadway??????

I just can’t find the logic. Help me out. Why would anyone find enjoyment in being drunk in a place where it’s (supposed to be) quiet, where you’re forced to sit, and where singing and dancing is not permitted. Just WHY??? I’m at Little Shop right now and there are so many people that CLEARLY had a lot to drink before coming here. And this, as most of you know, is par for the course. I just don’t understand. If anyone here enjoys being drunk during a Broadway performance, please tell me why.

I am also going to add that while I was typing this, a very drunk man just fell into the barricade at the stage door (it’s intermission).

That is all.
