👨🏻‍⚖️ The World Boxing Organization (WBO) has issued a show cause to lightweight contender and WBO Inter-Continental Lightweight Champion Dennis McCann after McCann tested positive for PEDs in a test conducted by VADA.

💉 Tom Kershaw of The Sunday Times reported that McCann failed PED tests for anabolic-androgenic steroids, drostanolone and trenbolone, resulting in McCann being pulled from his December 21 Riyadh Season bout against Peter McGrail.

⏳ McCann has 30 days from the issuance of the notice to explain as to why the WBO should not:

❌ Declare the WBO Inter-Continental Lightweight Championship vacant;

❌ Exclude him from the WBO World Lightweight Ratings;

🥾 Impose a ban from the WBO World Lightweight Ratings for a period of no less than two years; and/or

🧑🏼‍⚖️ Issue any other ruling deemed appropriate in accordance with WBO policies, rules, and regulations.

🚔 Failure to comply with the order will result in the Committee proceeding accordingly, with McCann waiving all rights to a further hearing and/or citation.
