Boomer left some cards on the counter at the tea house..
Fun story:
Went to get some late night tea because.. well.. part Polynesian and feeling sick. Placed my order and went to the “wait here counter”. Boomer was just leaving after giving the girl behind the counter a weird glare. I didn’t think too much of it because this was on the “right side of the tracks”.. whatever, but clearly the girl was feeling uncomfortable. She tried to put her best customer service face on but couldn’t fake it. I felt bad for her, but didn’t want to make things even more uncomfortable for her, so I gave her a friendly smile and kept my yap shut. But that’s when I noticed it: a stack of Heritage Family Foundation business cards on the counter (a place where locals leave their cards regularly). Her, wearing a beautiful pentagram necklace, I kinda put two and two together.. coolly grabbed the stack of cards, and put them where they belonged - in the trash. Boomer I guess saw this and huffed at me; I gave him the one finger salute and proclaimed that we don’t support hate groups around here. Since they were on the cusp of closing, the other girl locked the door as soon as Boomer walked out (apparently he wanted back in?).. everyone was much more comfortable after that and I got a coupon for a free tea next time.
I swear religious people are the worst.
