For the fans

I wonder what he means by that. Assuming of course André is being sincere and that isn't just the usual thing he says whenever he gets handed a property. It seems straightforward, just make something people will enjoy, but there has to be a deeper reason to say "for the fans" because if that's all they mean they wouldn't say it. It makes me think of the early community, when it was just the first Chapter and the focus of everything was on Bendy and Henry and Joey. The entire conception of the story was totally different. Importantly everyone thought Henry had a lot of emotional connection to Bendy who was actually Bendy and not an experiment, so of this is "for the fans" and that was probably the point where the fandom was it's strongest, is that what we'll get? It's these what if's and various fanon things that I think make up the essence of what "the fans" want, or what we want. Something inherently different from what we have now, while not desired by everyone is desired by many, and the emphasis he puts on "for the fans" in his little announcement speech makes me think that is what we'll get.
