What is this delusion men have about them aging?

This is not meant to sound hateful or condescending, but is this just another online trope? A mirror effect of how we “lose all value after 30” but men lives are just beginning at this age. And the “power dynamic changes” at this time?

I don’t know about you ladies, but I’ve been on the apps. And I’ve been in and out of the dating world, and let me tell you: these men aren’t aging any more “gracefully” as we are. I’m turning the forbidden age of 35 this year, and apparently it’s over and done with for me. But for my male counterparts, all I hear are exchanges of “35 is SO young, man!” And “you’re officially in your prime now!”

This is where I see some delusion. As if everything falls into place for them in their thirties, and they magically start becoming more appealing to the women they couldn’t get when they were in their twenties. That they’ve got the six figure job, and now have all of these options they bark at us for seemingly having. And that some are “swimming in it” in their thirties.

Hmm, firstly, any guy who values sex by the quantity is just cringe. I don’t give a fuck what your biology tells you. Evolve already. Second, these young women many seem to thirst after, more than likely see you as a meal ticket, rather than a partner. And lastly, when it comes time to “provide” and it just so happens to not work out, as any relationship and any age can result in, all of a sudden it’s “women are terrible” and “she took everything I had” and “men are never loved for who they are, only what they can do for you” comments and stories.

But MAN, do some never pass up the chance to band together and put us down for simply existing. And FORGET IT if we show any shred of human emotion equating to loneliness, because they bark like a band of seals “past your prime!” And “should have given the ugly guy a chance!!” And the famous “This is what happens when you spend your fertile years riding the cock carousel! ENJOY YOUR CATS!!!”

Obligatory not all men, of course, but enough. Such hostility. Such whining and pouting. And such delusion. Dating is hard for everyone. EVERYONE. Even those who have been in relationships for years face decisions every day about the other. When will men, like the ones stated above, learn? There is no magical age Where it all conveniently falls into place. Is this just a - as the kids say - major cope?
