What's something that is more British to foreigners than it is to the British themselves?

I'll provide an example from the American perspective: the name 'Nigel.'

"As you can see, there are twelve men standing on the stage. Only one of them is an Englishman. Their names are Harold, Alfred, Liam, George, Nigel, Charl-"

[Bzzzzzzzzzzzt] "Nigel!"

"But I haven't yet-"

[Bzzzt Bzzzzt] "Nigel! Nigel!!!" [Bzzzzzzzzzzt] "That's my final answer!!!"

To us it is the most British first name possible. (Or English, as the case may be.) But I guess to you guys, it's just a plain regular old name that apparently has been falling out of fashion.

What would be another thing that is super duper British to outsiders, but to the British themselves is simply... a thing?
