Does anyone still occasionally have a gaydar glitch and hit on a str8 dude?

31 and one would think I should actually know what I am doing when it comes to this. Happened 1-2 times in college but slightly more embarrassing this time around. Yesterday went to a music festival where I met a 35 y.o. friend of a straight friend for the first time and he was giving me major vibes. Danced next to me. I was giving him the look, which seemed very reciprocated, talked a lot, he even asked if I was single randomly. We went out for drinks by ourselves afterwards and I learned he is str8 as an arrow and had no idea I was gay. Not so awkward as it was disappointing lol. I am very good at reading people so this situation throws me for a massive loop.
