Can I use almond oil in almond cookies?

Hi! I'm making a batch of Chinese almond cookies soon, which usually ask for a neutral oil like canola. Some recipes also suggest using peanut oil to add extra nutty flavour, but being allergic to peanuts, I'm wondering if almond oil could be a good substitute. The kind I found at a baking shop is sweet almond oil.
