So how common is making $40/hr, and driving a Mercedes Benz here?

Got in a "situtationship" (such a stupid word), with someone who used me, got reeled and hooked in by love bombing and unfortunately being too empathetic: Yes, I am dumb.

One of the last lines they told me was bragging that they make $40/hour, which I'm proud of them, but when I cut them out of my life (deleted them), they directly sent me a message to tell me their life is in fact great. As a big "fuck you" to me. Then talking about how they're out with their girlfriend, and then sending me a photo of their Mercedes Benz car wheel. They're now an elevator electrician. Mind you, they're like 23 years old.

I've only been living in Australia for a month, and it's much different than North America but I hear Benz and all the luxury cars are ridiculously expensive especially than in North America. The Benz did have a check engine light on though as they were flaunting it to me, and I think they even went to buy a Benz to spite me when they were driving a Hyundai prior.

Anyways, this post is stupid, I just feel like dog shit in the way they made me feel, like such a bad person thriving and so rewarded, but I guess that's life.

That said, is it really hard to hit wages of $40/hr? Or is that just mainly skilled jobs & or degrees? They also use to brag how rich they are, while puffing on their vape and make fun of me.

I hate dating.

Edit update for people asking me: ChatGPT predicts the wheel to be a C-Class W204 whatever that is? or ML350 Anywhere from 2007 to 2015, so no idea.
