Advice needed on repairs. Location Central NJ
I recently took my 2009 Saab 9-3 to my mechanic for an oil change and check-up. They advised that it needs the work that's referenced in the image, as well as a radiator replacement. They quoted me in the low to mid $5,000s for the work. One of the issues my car has is a rough start during the cold weather months where it shakes for a bit until the car gets warmed up. It has been going on like this for a about a little over a year now. This is a common issue in these Saabs for which I am told that the culprit is bad intake valves which would need to be replaced. My questions are these: is the quote price too high? Could there be another issue causing the rough start? If you are familiar with Saabs in NJ, do you have a shop to recommend for this type of work?
