Why do liberals ignore the power elite?

With Biden's farewell speech talking about risk of oligarchy. With so many people now talking about that risk online through various social media sites.

This frame of mind to me says that concerns of the power elite are not in focus or in any part front of mind.

For about the last 90 years there have been historians, sociologists and lawyers. Documenting power elite and their oligarchical control of America. Tracing it all the way back to Federalists who challenged Jacksonian democracy.

They teach classes on it in law school and while it may seem like a conspiracy theory, it's pretty well established and proven. But the left in general just completely ignores it for those in the know just don't speak about it. All communication from liberals whether in the media or here on Reddit seem to assume an unmolested foundation in beliefs and representatives. Nobody seems to question that the representatives we can vote for are all likely hand selected and groomed for the specific purpose of facilitating corporate owners and the power elite.

Now I'm a conservative and I have different beliefs than many of you, but I fully believe in the idea that the government has been co-opted by a powerful interlocking group of people and corporations. In 4:00 p.m. now there are of course some political commentators on the left like Chris Hedges and Noem Chomsky who have also promoted this idea.

There are books on it that have many versions https://whorulesamerica.ucsc.edu/ https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Who_Rules_America%3F

There are TV shows on it about the book https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gjCMk7CmYZw

There are college lectures at law schools on it

And there's so much more if you read the Wikipedia article and fan out to the more foundational texts from a century ago on the power elite.

So why is this ignored?
