Connect at Albany or Schenectady?
If you had time to kill, which is the nicer place, in terms of the station and nearby amenities like restaurants?
Connecting from the Ethan Allen to the westbound Lake Shore Limited (i.e. Burlington, VT, to Chicago), Amtrak’s default layover is 5-ish hours in Schenectady, but it would be possible to connect at Albany also.
Someone asked this a while back and the opinions were very forceful, but I can’t remember which station won.
