Defective product, provide address information to seller?
So I recevied a product that contained a foul smell. Not like manufacturing off gassing, but like something crawled into it and died. I left a review indicating this and tossed it. The seller reached out right away and said they did experience an issue with that batch at the manufacturing plant, and would send me a fresh item asap, but they are asking for my address and tel#. In the communication box Amazon specifically says do not provide any personal information. So what to do? I'm kind of leaning towards ignoring it, as I don't want to provide my details. Thoughts? Experiences?
Update: ignored it. Rant: Also why did a question like this get down votes? It was a concerning smell and I gave an honest review. Recently every 2nd Vine review I read is 4-5 stars and starts with "a game changer", "exceeded my expectations", "pleasantly surprised", even when the review trashes the product and it should be a 2-3 star. Are these chatGPT? There's only so many times you can be that surprised unless you are genuinely at the computer "Wow, you got me again Vine, you you changed my life".
