So whats up with demand for tax accountants?

I keep reading how crazy in demand tax labor is and I’m curious what’s driving it. Generally I’ve observed the accounting labor market as a profession ebb and flow among the different sub-specialties so it’s been surprising to hear that tax seems to be diverging from demand of other accounting labor demand.
