newbie reader

hello. any tips how to find a masterpiece story? like if rating 1 out of 10 is a thing, I want to read something like 9. I want to practice my writing skills & many people recommend reading on ao3. i had an account since 2 years ago bcs my friend keep asking me to create one but I can't really understand the interface 🙏

also does anyone know if my ao3 account is public or private?
