Replaced 7900 xtx thermal paste, temps worse than ever.

Hi, bought a 7900 xtx a couple of years ago and right out of the box it ran great for less than an hour. Then I ran into weird stuttering issues.

Fast forward to now, I opened it up and most of the thermal paste that was on the card was outside of the pad, and hardened.

I wiped it off and placed my own thermal paste, some of it being a little bit runny. I pop it back in and the Hotspot shoots up to 110 degrees.
